(Disciple Powers - Body Location - Colors; Order that the Disciples were called by Jesus.)
Charles Fillmore's book, The Twelve Powers of Man was written in 1930 and since that time has been taught time and again in Unity Sunday services and classes. Charles Fillmore believed that everyone has 12 power centers in their body (not just the 7 chakra power centers as taught in Eastern philosophy). These 12 power centers have a definite body location, color and purpose that reflects the 12 Disciples called into expression

(or: "ministry") by Jesus.

Unity Church of the Valley studies the 12 powers on a regular basis. Our Christmas Candle Light Service acknowledges the 12 powers, or disciple powers. In Unity, we view the 12 powers as spiritual gifts that each one of us can call into expression, by our recognition of that particular power (or spiritual faculty), meditation upon that power and affirming that it is expressing through us to help us in daily life.
